Ratings agency Fitch said Saudi Arabia’s 2027 pre-budget statement highlighted the fiscal pressures from the US-Iran war, with the government projecting higher spending and wider budget deficits. Saudi Arabia projected a fiscal deficit of 4.9% of GDP in 2026, above the target set in its 2026 budget but below the 2025 deficit of 5.8%, Fitch said on Monday.
