OGDCL initiates hydrocarbon production at Khairpur’s exploratory well
Oil & Gas Development Company Ltd (OGDCL), one of Pakistan’s largest E&P companies, has commenced gas and condensate production from the Bitrism East-1 exploration well in Khairpur, Sindh. The listed company disclosed the development in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday. The company said the well is currently producing 7.0 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas and 200 barrels per day of condensate from the Basal Sands of Lower Goru Formation. “Production is expected to be progressively ramped up as the well flow stabilises,” the company said.
