Power breakdown at Dhabeji station disrupts water supply
KARACHI: A major power breakdown at the Dhabeji pumping station on Sunday rendered 10 of its 21 pumps inoperative, causing an estimated shortage of 150 million gallons of water in the city. Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) spokesman said power supply to the Third Phase, Fourth Phase and K-III pump houses was suspended around 6a.m. following a fault in the main electricity cable supplying the pumping station.
