Govt raises petrol price by Rs6.88, HSD by Rs5.62 per litre
The federal government has increased the price of petrol by Rs6.88 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs5.62 per litre, effective till Thursday, September 17, 2026. According to an Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notification, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs391.22 per litre, while HSD will be available at Rs421.45 per litre. The regulator said the increase was primarily linked to higher petrol and diesel prices in the international market amid continued global uncertainty.
