Forex reserves hit five-year high of USD26.8bn
KARACHI: The country’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves have risen to a five-year high of USD 26.8 billion, following the arrival of Eurobond proceeds last week. According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the central bank received USD 3 billion in Eurobond proceeds following the government’s successful auction in the international market. With the Eurobond proceeds and other inflows, the SBP’s foreign exchange reserves increased by USD 3.061 billion to USD 21.389 billion as of September 11, 2026, compared with USD 18.328 billion a week earlier.
