Wheat falls as markets monitor Black Sea export prospects
BEIJING: Chicago wheat fell on Monday as traders weighed whether diplomatic efforts could ease disruption to Black Sea grain exports from Russia and Ukraine, two of the world’s biggest grain suppliers. Corn fell while soybeans were almost unchanged. The most-traded wheat contract on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) was down 0.32% at $7.01 a bushel by 0140 GMT. CBOT corn fell 0.4% to $5.26-1/4 a bushel, while soybeans were flat at $13.19-1/4 a bushel.
