MongoDB CEO Desai steps down to lead Meta's enterprise platform
Database software firm MongoDB’s Chirantan “CJ” Desai has stepped down as president and CEO to join Meta Platforms as chief enterprise platform officer, the companies said on Monday. Shares of MongoDB fell 14% in premarket trading. Desai has served as MongoDB’s CEO for less than a year, having taken the role in November from Dev Ittycheria. Meta’s social networks down for thousands of users in US, Downdetector says MongoDB’s board has appointed Ittycheria as interim president and CEO. It is searching for a permanent CEO and has retained an executive search firm to assist in that process.
