Govt cuts petrol by Rs2.27, diesel by Rs3.56 per litre
The government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs2.27 per litre to Rs389.03 and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs3.56 to Rs404.97 per litre, effective September 29, 2026. According to a Petroleum Division notification issued on Monday, the price of HSD has been reduced from Rs408.53 to Rs404.97 per litre, while the price of motor spirit (petrol) has been cut from Rs391.30 to Rs389.03 per litre.
