Punjab CM announces Basant festival for Lahore people
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced the celebration of a 10-day Basant festival in Lahore as a special gift for the people of the city and also approved the plan. As per plan, Basant will be celebrated in Lahore for 10 days, with the festival scheduled from January 29 to February 7. However, there will be a one-day break in Basant festivities on February 5 to observe Kashmir Day. After a 25-year hiatus, Basant was celebrated in Lahore from February 6 to 8 this year.
